Our story

For us, personal development has been a lifelong pursuit. We’ve always strived for a better, happier, calmer, and more abundant life. Yet, we found ourselves slipping back into old habits and patterns time and time again.

In our own journey, we thought that getting tattoos is the only way to remind ourselves of the true values we wanted to live by – values that we kept forgetting when we were on “autopilot.” But, we quickly realized that getting tattoos all over our bodies wasn’t going to be the most practical solution. And that’s when the idea of ReCode wristbands was born.

Instead of permanent ink, why not create items that could remind us of our values in a practical, flexible way? Like a wristband we could switch depending on what we needed that day – a visual and tactile reminder to stay true to our inner compass.

We have also always found great support in music. When we listen to a specific song, while focusing on our best thoughts, those thoughts begin to stick with us, becoming part of our mental autopilot. Why not combine the power of music with the power of positive reminders on a wearable item?
